License to Ill(ustrate).

I’m taking Illustration this semester and it’s been pretty fun so far, except for my lack of talent with the airbrush. Since this week is midterm, we were to turn in a portfolio with our “best works.” This is in quotes because we haven’t really done very much, but I thought I would share some of my pieces. I guess the reason I’m having fun with this stuff is because Rusty, our professor, let’s us pick our subject matter so it’s been... pretty silly, if you know me at all.

This is one of my good friends, Joyce, who is so freakin’ adorable that I couldn’t even begin to illustrate her.

This is a piece of cake (duh). Anyway, I did this because I was kind of hungry when I was looking for source imagery. 

This is a building from the Farmer’s Market on 3rd and Fairfax. I miss LA.

And last but NOT CERTAINLY least... an 8x10 Gouache tribute to the 80’s. I call it Kiss Is On My Nintendo E.T. Phone Home.
