On the (mr) bright side...

They were playing The Killers at the rec this morning.

So Matt (my Capstone professor, and that is probably the nicest adjective I have for him) is having us design/sort-of-write (he told us to just take information from other annual reports? I feel weird about that) annual reports for our corporation. Annual reports are bore-fest 2009. HOWEVER, (on the bright side...) I get to practice my copy writing skills, which has always been a fun aspect I liked about doing layouts. Puns galore? YOU KNOW IT!

Project Info f'sho:
A-Peel, my corporation, was established in the summer of ‘69... (Matt didn’t get the reference), so my annual report and other aspects of my brand will be 60s-inspired. Man, the 60s are SO COOL! Seriously! Everything was so outrageously cheesy and bright and pattern-induced.

To bind the book, I'm using .20" silver rivets...it looks pretty tiiiight. Though, when I went to Ace Hardware, there were shorter rivets, but I couldn’t get them to screw in right. I seem to have that problem a lot this year (har har har). Anyway, to overcompensate, I think the back cover of my annual report will be made of black foamcore. (fxcore!) Cover will be on black matte-board (scored to perfection) and as far as paper goes: the cover will be in luster (*drool*) others will be a combination of luster/transparencies/scanned found items/glossy and if Neenah would call me back, maybe I can get some velum (more drool).

I don't think I ever posted this, but I designed the new logo for Truman’s University Gallery.

Also, speaking of blogs...I am SO excited that so many people have started bloggin’!

OH! I’m going to listen to Chipp Kidd speak next Thursday!

Viscom is really, really badass.
