Night Fever, Night Fev-ah

2:33am : my eyes are heavy.

In approximately 21.5 hours, I will be starting my first official shift as a night monitor. In preparation, I have been staying up later and later throughout the week. However, I've been having trouble sleeping. No, nothing's wrong. I'm not up tossing and turning and thinking and overanalyzing situations. Even while in Blue Springs, I was only able to sleep about 4-6 hours a night.

In other news, Cathy and I have been helping Amber move/figure things out for Atlanta. She's enroute as I type! How exciting for her! Anyway, so last night, I stayed up until about 3am and woke up around 8ish this morning to run errands with Amber and to finish up packing.

I then rearranged my room (again).
I couldn't stand the twin bed. My solution?

Movin' shit around. I delofted one of the beds ALL BY MYSELF. Boo-yah. The end product:

Super-twin bed.

Amber called when I finished rearranging (like that Limp Bizkit song). Cathy and I helped her pack up the rest of her stuff. She left town around 3pm. I then went to the rec where I proceeded to catch up on my video podcasts. After the rec, I took a shower. Later, I took a two-hour nap. After waking up (I thought I would nap longer, that's probably why I'm tired now, UGH), I hung out wit mah gurl Cathy. We watched Paris Hilton Is My New BFF, a lot of TLC and Parental Control. She sipped a BL, I just drank some H2O.

Since I didn't get much sleep from yesterday morning, I think I'm going to try to stay up at LEAST by 5am today. I'll probably take a napski before midnight and then it's go time. It's 2:48am now. Here are a list of things I'm going to do to keep myself up (ha) until 5:
  • Read about flash websites
  • Put up 30 schedule fliers for JBA on floors 3-5 and the main lounge
  • Maybe blog some more
  • Journal
  • Are TLC shows online?
