The guy at GNC said that drinking this protein shake equals eating two chicken breasts. That seems a bit excessive, but I believe him. Would it be wrong to mix this powder with chocolate milk? Maybe I should invest in a Magic Bullet.
I've been doing well and I've been getting used to living on my own and being okay with being alone. Though, this is going to change TODAY because I'm hanging out with my cousin and good friend, Michael. Kuya (oh, in the Philippines, you address older people with "Kuya" if a guy and "Ate" if a girl) Michael is tons of fun. He was taking some sort of accounting class in Cambridge (yup, Harvard) but is back until he attends law school there next fall. I don't know what we're doing tonight, but it'll be a lot of fun to catch up and hang out (and eat!). I haven't hung out with him since almost two or three Christmases ago so I am SO EXCITED. To redirect my hyperness, I was at the gym for three hours this morning--though I would say that I really only worked out for two of those hours because one hour of it was just leisurely cycling while talking to Kenny. Things with Kenny are going as well as they could, considering the distance and time restraints, but I'm mostly happy with where we are right now. I miss him quite a bit. SO much, actually, that when I think about it, I choke up. Last week at Bottega, I rang up a girl who was visiting her boyfriend (who lives in LA). She goes to school in NYC and was just on the west coast for the weekend. She and her boyfriend have been doing the LDR-thing for a year and a half! It gives me hope, but seeing how hurt and sad she was having to leave him once again made me really, really sad. If I would've talked to her any longer, I probably would've started crying.
Okay, enough whining.
Yesterday, I was less than a foot away from ScarJo! Scarlett Johansson was eating at Bottega with a friend of hers yesterday afternoon. She is a grade-A hottie, let me tell ya. No Ryan Reynolds, though. He was prob off making silly movies with Sandra Bullock.
- Jessica.
Do not—repeat DO NOT—buy a Magic Bullet! Especially if you just need a regular blender. I replaced my Magic Bullet with a $13 personal blender I bought at Wal Mart, and I'm much more satisfied with the latter.
ReplyDeleteThat's really cool about seeing a celebrity! Even if it wasn't Ryan Reynolds (omg).
Your blog lets me pretend my life is an exciting adventure in LA. Keep it up!
OMG SCARJO
ReplyDeletealso, you should get a vitamix
