Well, I'm in a pretty good mood. Hulu accidentally put up the last two episodes of Hell's Kitchen instead of just the 2nd to the last one. Per usual, I cried at the end...I get so attached to the characters! Sorry I've been slackin' on updating this thing. I've been crazy-busy (I know, years from now, I'll want to know what happened in the big void of time un-blogged). I have a day off tomorrow! I've worked 8 days in a row and I'm WIPED. I should've had Tuesday off, but I picked up Hannah's shift. That puts me in overtime!$!. Da 'crew is droppin' like flies. Everyone is getting sick, apparently. A little rain and these LA-folk are fallin' apart. I'm paranoid that I'm going to get sick so I've been downing water and OJ while keeping a pretty steady workout (except for the past few days when I've been sleeping during my limited free time). Okay. I have a confession. I also bought 2 Fastbreaks today. Fuckin' Rite-Aid keeps having these bogo sales on candy! The grocery store next to The Rosslyn has also been having sales on Häagen-Dazs Coffee Ice Cream (my ABSOLUTE FAVE) so that's been burning a hole in my pocket. Aside from working about 40 hours a week at BL, I've always been doing a few freelance projects. I put out three e-mail blasts for
Becca Straus and a 250-piece postcard mail-out. On the deck: more freelance, a logo and a few t-shirt designs. I'm really starting to embrace living alone. Aside from the "clothing-optional" rule (mentioned in a previous post), there is also the freedom of:
1. Listening to Now (That's What I Call Music) cds at full blast.
2. Naps anytime I please.
3. Ice cream for dinner.
4. Crying during Hell's Kitchen without being judged.
5. Keeping the studio as cold as I want.
LA-observations:
1. Everyone's gay (not a bad thing, just an observation)
2. Everyone's hot (definitely not a bad thing)
3. LA people like dressing in fall/winter clothing when it's 65 degrees.
4. Walking 2 miles a day to/from work is making my legs rather shapely.
5. Mirrors EVERYWHERE
6. 5-Dollar-Footlongs are really ONLY $5. No tax! (Also, you can get avocados)
7. AVOCADOS! On anything you want!
I'm sure there are other things, but I can't really remember them right now.
Things are fantastic and I'm pretty happy. Everything is great and good and great and good (I know I repeated that). Things with K are awesome and I booked my flight for Christmas.

I totally blogged about how everyone dresses for winter when it's still warm. I've decided it's cute.
ReplyDeleteI am so so happy that things are going well!!
ReplyDeleteAdditionally, so so jealous about the avocados. I'm craving one right now.
I miss you! I want to visit you in LA sometime!!!!
