After breakfast, Kenny and I headed to Quincy, IL. We stayed at the Holiday Inn and it was super swanky. At least for Quincy and at least for a Holiday Inn. We hung out before Kenny got his tuxedo (rico suavé) and then we went to Hannibal for the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner. It was nice and even during the rehearsal, there were teary eyes. After the rehearsal, we ate dinner at a place called “Fiddlesticks,” kinda looked like Fuddruckers. They had really yummy chicken strips. Afterwards, K and I went back to Abbie & Jordan’s house and hung out for awhile. I met some of Kenny’s bros, it was a good time. After the dinner, we watched Inception. IT. WAS. AWESOME. But I’ll leave that for another post.
The next morning, Kenny and I had overpriced breakfast at the hotel and then Kenny had to go get his pictures taken. I got ready for the wedding and when Kenny came back he looked so, so handsome in his tux! Took my breath away how absolutely dashing he looked in his tuxedo. I’m such a lucky gurl. We went to the wedding and the ceremony was great! Abbie looked beautiful and you can really tell that she comes from a super close family. After the wedding, the wedding party took a trolley to Quincy so I rode back with Justin in Kenny’s car back to Quincy. I watched some 90210 until I had to go back downstairs for the reception. The reception was a BLAST!!! Kenny and I danced the night away and drank a bunch of beer. Good times were had by all. Best dance of the night was Love Shack. Kenny tried to grind with me but I would not allow it. (sorry to out you, babe)
The next day, Kenny and I traveled and we ended up eating some Coldstone and watching Toy Story 3. Two great movies in one weekend! Kenny had never seen a Pixar movie in theatres so it was the first time he saw the animated short beforehand. He was into it, I think.
Monday rolled around and we visited with my parents for awhile and Kenny headed back to Knoxville. I hung out with Fran and H and ate a lot of ice cream and watched Wife Swap, Grey’s and Maury. My flight was due to leave at 8:15pm, but when we got there, it was delayed an hour, causing me to miss my connecting flight in Denver. All of this resulted in me taking a flight out early this morning and being 30 minutes late to work. I’ve never been so tired sitting through a work day. It felt like Capstone after a good Wednesday Woody’s Trivia Night.
So right now, I’m just messing around on the Internet, thinking about how I wish I had air conditioning and video chatting with Kenny. I am also talking to Eric Dickerson whom I haven’t talked to in almost a year! It’s great catching up.
More updates later,
- J.
1) I can't believe that Kenny has never seen a pixar movie in theatres!
ReplyDelete2) Inception was really good! I want to talk about it with you and Ashley one day.
3) I miss you and actually got choked up when I realized we were driving in opposite directions away from each other from Rosies.
Would you really want to have a conversation with Ashley on Inception? She'd probably just keep going on about how Murph has pretty blue eyes (he really does, though)
