Anniversary!

Kenny and I celebrated our anniversary yesterday! For the first time ever, we were actually in the same city on the 20th of a month. Kenny was so great. He planned a nice night out with a fancy schmanzy dinner at The Palm in Downtown LA. My bosses are so great, they let Kenny come to work with me while he's here. So we went to work and hung out, Kenny played some internet games. After work, we walked home, checked out some Banksy artwork and opened presents! (pictures another time) I designed and made Kenny this custom puzzle. The first time we EVER hung out, we bought and (attempted to) put a Mickey Mouse puzzle together. It was nostalgic and sweet. We didn't finish our newest puzzle before we had to head out to make our reservation at The Palm.

The Palm was da bomb dot com! We had cocktails and when Kenny made the reservation, he told them it was our anniversary so we got "special treatment." Our waiter was a really sweet guy...very intuitive and not annoying at all! I had the chicken parmigiana, Kenny had the veal and we shared a three-cheese potato side. I had a pomegranate martini and Kenny had a beer...no Bud Lights for this special occasion! After the delicious dinner, they brought out a non-flour chocolate cake with candles. It was so beautiful, I wanted to cry! Here is a mobile upload of our slice of cake:

After dinner and dessert, we walked through LA Live and caught the 10:10pm showing of The Social Network. Last night was a nice mix of something we've never done before (freaking fancy restaurant) and something we're used to. Yesterday was def one of the most romantic and fun nights Kenny and I have ever shared. He's only here 2 more days and I'm excited to see what's in store! I have tomorrow off and we're... I'm surprising him and I know he reads this so I won't spill da beans.
