Blogger is the new Xanga

Remember Xanga? Okay, maybe you don't. But it used to be this big thing in Blue Springs. Basically blogging in high school was just a bunch of teenage angst, preceded by Dashboard Confessional lyrics and closed off with vagueness. I've had Xanga since 2002, so when I go back and read old posts, it is really entertaining. Here is an example:

hey kids. long time no xanga, huh? since my last update, i saw the beautiful, talented, amazing chris carrabba....live. i honestly can say my life is complete. he sang my 2 favorite songs: "again i go unnoticed" and "a sharp hint of new tears." it took all my inner strength not to breakdown and bawl like a baby. thrice and the get up kids were good, too, but of course, i am a d+c fan.

the senior breakfast was fun, and the who's who were pretty interesting. that night, we [ashley, kc, dane, mal, ben and lauren] had our kick-arse grad part-ay! i was really pleased with the turn out. almost everyone we invited showed up and the dj wasn't lame. the dancing was definitely the best part...the music, the togetherness, just being with great friends in a great atmosphere. it was a lot of fun, one i will remember forever.

on saturday, i went to a few graduation parties and just chilled.

sunday, was graduation! i am officially out of highschool! my speech went rather well, i think. the first few sentences were kind of awkward because i was getting used to the really weird feedback, but after that, i just rolled with it. speaking was a lot of fun, i suggest all of you do it once in your life. after the commencement exercise, we took some pictures, and then i hung out w/ la familia.

now, wise words from yours truly. being out of school is weird, because i keep thinking.."oh, i have to tell adam this funny story..." or "abby is going to crack up when i tell her what happened..." i can't help but forget that no, i won't be seeing them everyday like i always do. now it's just up to us to make it happen. i want to hang out with all of my great friends this summer, especially you, nick kruger! it's weird, because for the past 12 years, i've gotten out of school, went to band camp, and have seen all of my buddies again in august. this year, that's not going to happen. and it's really weird.

i'll catch you all later.

I hope that entertained you as much as it entertained me. So I'm still a freak and apparently had no regard for capitalization five years ago.

I guess the reason I'm making this new blog is because my xanga one is now more of a journal, all the entries are private. jessicaendaya.blogspot.com is more of a design-y blog and jessicalovesargyle.blogspot.com is duh, for argyle. I don't really have a place to just write random shit and I feel that I can clear my thoughts when I blog. So I'm not promising great work (that's what this is for) and I'm not promising argyle-patrol (that's what this is for), all you get with this blog is just what I'm thinking. So take what you will out of it and let's roll.

  1. I know MY life was completed by the musical stylings of Chris Carrabba, lol...NOT!

I go back and read my old livejournal (hangs head in shame) and get super embarrassed. I'm NEVER going to show that one to anyone.
I also go back and read Ashley's 1st grade diary, and go nuts.
