Last night's shift was pretty okay. I had never actually stayed awake and felt myself progress into a hangover, and it was not a pretty thing to experience. But I had a good, greasy breakfast...thanks, Sodexho (or did they officially change the spelling to Sodexo? I don't know). After passing out after breakfast, I woke up around noon, decided to sleep a few hours and woke up a little after 3. I then went to the rec and worked out for a couple of hours. After the rec, I ran up the five flights to my room to get my library card and I ventured to the Adair Public Library. I got a few books and the movie, The Break-Up, starring Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn. I used to have a really big thing for Vince Vaughn. He's tall, what can I say.
The library luckily had Fourth Comings, by Megan McCafferty, a book I've been wanting to read for a few months now. I also grabbed a few books that had interesting covers and a few Judy Blume books (Sarah E. reminded me I wanted to re-read Forever because I forgot what it was about). And yes, I judge books by the cover. After the library, I went to Bellacinos and got an Italian Grinder. It was pretty good. Typing "Bellacinos" reminds me that I watched Twilight the other night. Have I talked about this yet? First of all, I gave both the first book and movie a fair chance. I was optimistic. It was badbadBAD. Did I mention it was bad? I think it actually made my night shift longer. The only Bella I'm interested in is MJ (from the RW/RR Challenge)'s daughter and honestly, I don't really have that much interest in her.
So after all that, I took a shower and tried to read but I fell asleep. Woke up at 11:30. Yikes, I need to stop waking up right before my shift...one of these days I'm going to sleep-in. Which is such a silly thought for 11:30pm. Another thing that is confusing about the night shift is...when do I put on my nightly renewal lotion? Cathy and I decided before I fall asleep...that the title is really just assuming everyone goes to sleep at night.
I borrowed Heroes: Season 1 from Cathy. I just finished the 3rd episode. It's pretty okay so far. I mean, it's no LOST, but it's aiight and it keeps my attention. I'm sure that it'll get pretty good pretty soon. It's the weekend, but it doesn't really feel like it because I don't have any days off whatsoever. Oh well.
Time for some ABsolutely fun 8 minutes.
Year 3000-ly yours,
- Jessica.
I agree--I think it puts the lotion on the skin before sleeping.
ReplyDeleteALSO I CAN'T wait to troll around the library etc with you!
I'm a little sad that you hate Twilight. :(
