Kids These Days

Before I left for Blue Springs, Jill made me a playlist on my iTunes that I labeled "NEW HITS." I don't listen to the radio all that much and when I do, it's usually an oldies station or like, KUDL or something. To be more "hip with the times," Jill made me this playlist. Tonight/this morn at approx. 6:14am, I decided to listen to this playlist. The first song that came up was Lady GaGa's "Poker Face." I looked up the lyrics and here are the first few paragraphs:

I am quite unsure what this means. This just sounds like a very intense card game, if you ask me. I don't really have much else to say on this subject, except now the playlist is playing "Boom Boom Pow." Maybe onomatopoeias are just "in" right now.

It's almost been a full week since I've started this night monitoring job. It's getting better, seriously. I was a bit tired today/tonight. I didn't sleep very much yesterday...probably due to the fact that I slept ALLLLL day on Thursday. Today was a pretty good day. I woke up around noon and went to the rec. It was crowded because there was a perspective student tour going on and the basketball court was filled with college-freshmen-to-be playing get-to-know-you games. It looked very socially awkward. After I worked out, I decided I would take a nap outside to get some rays. But it was too windy to sleep comfortably so I just went back up to my room. For dinner, I had Papa Johns and watched The Duel with K. The Duel was anti-climatic, but still good nonetheless. Afterwards, I tried to take another nap but it just ended up with me laying around restlessly. I then got some popsicles (100% fruit, yum) and watched a majority of Serendipity, starring John Cusack. Seriously, is that guy type-cast or what?! Anyway, it's pretty good thus far. Would it be too silly to say that it's predictable?
