Design Does’t (Alma) Mater

Was on the Truman State University website today and almost barfed up my dinner from last night (didn't have time for breakfast this morning). I guess I shouldn't be surprised, seeing as though Truman's webdesign skills are still on its steady decline. But seriously? Comic Sans? Rounded corners (is this the early 90s?!!).

Just wanted to set things straight: there are fine arts degrees offered at Truman State University. Just try to avert your eyes from the aesthetically displeasing photo slideshow and multiple shades of tan.

  1. I agree. I think student workers create those slides. There is still no excuse for this sort of design falling through the cracks and making it to the homepage

  2. Exactly! Where do these student workers come from? The comm department?

  3. Student workers didn't make those slides, Tim did! Teresa would have killed a designer if they used the font-that-shall-not-be-named.

  4. Hey Jessica,
Sorry, I like Comic Sans... but I'm a photographer, not a designer. Hopefully you've noticed I rarely use it but I'll be more careful in the future:)
