Please Don't Evaluate Me!

Last night, I was SUPPOSED to be taking my weekly S.E.T24 class (some 60 minute cardio class at 24hr Fitness) but the teacher was a no-show. Guess I was still in college mode because after 10 minutes, I started putting my weights away. The gym manager (it was also his first week at our gym) came in to let us know that our trainer couldn't be reached. Some chick said, “You don’t want a roomful of angry women do you?” So this cute, timid, adorable Asian man in slacks and a polo starts going through some exercises. We ended up doing a billion squats and lunges, but I didn’t mind. I felt bad for him that he was pretty much suckered into teaching a class. He kept counting too fast and losing his place and there was no music so it was even more awkward. I still felt like I had a pretty good workout, though. At the very end of the session he said, “Sorry about all this...please don’t evaluate me!” It was very endearing.

Today is my “rest” day. It’s always weird to be walking to work without a backpack holding me down, but I think it’d prob be a good thing to take a break from working out since Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays are class days at the gym. I wish boot camp didn't start at 5:30. I get off work at 6:30 so I miss it. Oh well.

In other news, I’ve been updating my Google Cal and I must say, I love color-coding.

Less than 20 days until I see my favorite Iowan! (not Ashton)
