Fall Back!

Daylight Savings Time is such a pain. Though I do like the "extra" hour more than losing it in the spring. This weekend was pretty good. Friday I just relaxed and watched some Mad Men with Kenny. We're finally cracking down on Season 4. It's pretty good so far, I loved the last episode we watched...I think it was episode 4. Such beautiful takes and I love the last scene with the old couple.

On Saturday morn, I had breakfast with Ricardo and Frankie. It was nice to see Frankie...it felt like a long time since I saw him, though in reality, it was just a week. I had a pretty yummy jalapeño cheddar bagel. Relaxed and cleaned my place afterwards and then headed to the gym for a quick work-out. Afterwards, made a trip to the grocery store. It was pretty annoying because a lot of co-eds were getting supplies for tailgating so it was busy. Finally made it home and finished cleaning up and watched some Growing Pains (did I tell you guys I bought Season 1 for $9.99? Whatta deal!). Got ready and went to a vegan cookbook release party-of-sorts with Frankie and Alanna. It was in Venice at this small vintage boutique. The lighting was a bit bright and the food was on display so it was hard to get thirds and fourths. We remedied our existing hunger by going to a pretty cool burger/café joint (think like a cooler Winstead's) called "Swingers." I had a burger which negated the purpose of eating vegan food and I had onion rings for the first time in years.

Today's been fairly low-key. Wrapped up season 2 of Desperate Housewives and am designing a few business card mock-ups. I'm pretty excited about it, I think it's a pretty legit card. Video chatted with Ness and she told me that my sisters and cousins are dressing up as pilgrims and Indians for Thanksgiving dinner. Fran wants to dress up as a turkey. I really miss being at home with everyone.

On a lighter note, here is a watercolor I made the weekend after Strut Your Mutt. It's Frankie's doggie, Molly. Isn't she cute (the painting)?
